Business Intelligence Gets Collaborative

Over the next several years, expect to see the business-intelligence, collaboration and knowledge-management segments converge. Likewise, expect to see such interactive Web 2.0 technologies as AJAX, blogs and wikis revolutionize the business intelligence experience.

Hi Hope,

Thanks to Technocrati I picked up on this posting. Hooray for the web! I absolutely agree with the interative trends noticed. Our company develops and delivers Operational BI solutions in the Dutch market. AJAX technologies etc. is having a huge positive impact on the user experience of BI tools. Especially in our field (Operational BI) where we deal with users in all layers of the organization, this bring allot of user/customer value. I also think that BI, collaboration tools and knowledge management portals will start merging together over the next few years. Finaly bringing that technology to the masses (and to value for that matter!).

BTW Have added your blog to my list. Looks interesting as I'm a business developer myself too. Looks like some excellent reading material for a technical sales guy. Think I will even be linking to some of it in the near future from
our company blog on Operational BI.

Cheers, Henri van den Hoof
